Visual Art Awards
Roscommon Arts Centre has developed a number of awards that aim to support visual artists at all stages of their careers and to assist them reach new audiences through partnerships with other organisations and galleries. The Roscommon Visual Artists Forum Award was established in 2014 and supports the production of new work by a Roscommon based artist. In 2017 the awarded artist, Naomi Draper, will also exhibit her work at ArtBox Gallery Dublin.

The RAC Contemporary Photography Award aims to readdress the under representation of photography as an artform in the programme for our visual art space. Judged by Martin Parr in 2016 the inaugural award went to Dara McGrath and his work was exhibited as part of the 2 main photography festivals held in Ireland; Photofestival Ireland & Belfast Photofestival.
