Loco & Reckless Productions
Written and Performed By Mikel Murfi, who audiences will remember from Teac Damsa’s mesmerising production “Swan Lake”, earlier this year, The Man in the Woman’s Shoes returns for the third time to Roscommon Arts Centre.
It’s October 1978 – Pope John Paul I is not long dead, autumn is closing in and Pat Farnon has ‘some business’ to do in town. The Man in the Woman’s Shoes follows Pat as he walks to town and back again. A beautifully observed piece, utterly simple, funny, tender and at times downright daft, this production has audiences who return time and again to see it. It has enjoyed a 3 week sell out run at the Abbey Theatre Dublin, performances at The Tricyle Theatre in London and numerous American engagements. We cannot recommend it highly enough!
Originally commissioned by Sligo County Council Arts Service and The Hawk’s Well Theatre, as part of the Bealtaine Festival 2012.
