We are delighted that the 2019 award will be selected by Una McCarthy, Director of the Limerick City Gallery of Art.
About the Award
The Roscommon Visual Artists Forum supported by Roscommon County Council Arts Office & Roscommon Arts Centre was established to provide visual artists based in or from the county with a platform to develop their practice through professional training, events, talks and exhibitions while also providing access to information and opportunities beyond the region.
In response to the needs and requirements of the artists in the county, resident curator Linda Shevlin developed the Roscommon Visual Artists Forum Award.
The 2019 award is open to artists working in all media with a connection to County Roscommon. The award will facilitate the realization of an exhibition in 2018.
The selected artist will be supported with a production budget of €2000 plus the organisational and curatorial support of the Roscommon Arts Centre curator, Linda Shevlin. Applicants must also demonstrate that the project can be realised within the specified budget and timeframe.
