A show for children aged 4-8 years old and their adults
Designed and directed by Orla Clogher
As the machines get closer and tear away the precious, wild landscape FEN awakes and rises to save the last curlew egg nestled within it. With the fate of his home hanging in the balance he is guided on his mission by a playful little fox.
Fen is a curious, gentle, and moving story addressing the need to protect wild landscapes and the creatures who live there. A highly visual, non-verbal story combining puppetry, shadow play, choreography and an original score, Fen seeks to develop children’s connectedness with nature and to notice beauty, magic, and meaning in the natural world.
This work was developed in collaboration with the pupils of Feevagh N.S and Ballintleva N.S. Two rural schools in Co.Roscommon
