Jargon, the highly talented multi-instrumentalist acoustic quartet, has returned, revisiting their interpretations and original songs in Ragtime, Blues, Folk, and Bluegrass styles. Join them on their exciting tour to launch their new album, “Midnight Moonlight”! Formed by Charlie McGettigan in 1973 and reformed in the 1980s, they won the prestigious Letterkenny Folk Festival and released three singles. After a break in 1983 to pursue other musical interests, Charlie toured and recorded with Maura O’Connell and Eleanor Shanley, winning the Eurovision Song Contest with Paul Harrington. Gerry Grennan toured Europe with Seamie O’Dowd and worked with notable artists like Christy Moore. Liam Gilmartin joined Gerry in the successful Hennigan’s Blooze Band and toured with Stockton’s Wing and Ray Lynam. Reformed in 2023, Jargon now features new member Brian Mulligan, who also plays with The Old Market Street Swing Band. Don’t miss this legendary group live!
