Roscommon County Council invites tenders for Provision of Services as
Creative Producer for Roscommon Arts Centre (freelance, part-time)
Duration of Contract: 12 Months
Contract Fee: €24,000 + vat
Responsible for: Visual Arts Programme; Multidisciplinary Engagement Programmes; Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Programming.
Location: Hybrid – Remote working will be facilitated. However, the contracted producer would be expected to work on site for minimum one day weekly.
Remit:
To develop and deliver Roscommon Arts Centre’s
– Gallery Exhibition Programme 2024 – 2025;
– Kaleidoscope Engagement Programme to compliment the Performing and Visual Arts Programmes
2024 – 2025;
To support artists as they create, develop and present work at Roscommon Arts Centre;
To develop Equality, Diversity and Inclusion policies, practices and programming.
Roscommon Arts Centre is a multi-disciplinary, local authority-owned venue in Roscommon town. The Centre values and recognises how essential it is for all members of our local community, the artists and the collaborators we work with, to feel welcome and to feel a sense of belonging at Roscommon Arts Centre.
Roscommon Arts Centre’s annual programme contributes to an inclusive and vibrant arts space for artists and audiences through:
Performance: a diverse programme of live events in the Centre’s 194-seater auditorium.
Visual Art: curated and exhibited in the Centre’s dedicated Gallery.
Kaleidoscope Engagement Programme: a series of opportunities for the public to expand and deepen their engagement with the arts which is inclusive and compliments the Performance and Visual Art pillars. Using the Theatre, Gallery, Studio & Workshop Spaces as well as off-site.
Artist Supports: A programme of supports for professional artists across all artforms including residencies, mentoring, commissions, access to studio & work spaces at the centre, opportunities to develop and share work in progress.
