Commissioned by Roscommon Arts Centre & Backstage Theatre Longford, “The Fairies” is a newly commissioned short by Seamus O’Rourke, telling the true story of two colourful neighbours – The Quinns. High-spirited and thrifty in equal measure, they caused commotion at every turn… and departed in the most mysterious of circumstances.
Seamus O Rourke is a renowned Leitrim playwright, poet, actor and author. He has penned over fifteen plays including four one-man-shows. His poems and commentaries have had over two million hits on social media and he’s a regular contributor to National television and Radio broadcasts. His memoir, ‘Standing in Gaps’ has been a huge success across the island of Ireland and beyond.
