The Roscommon Solstice Choir will present a very special show entitled “The Songs that made a Nation” in Roscommon Arts Centre in June 2026.

Based on a script by well known local playwright and Historian Tommy Murray it has been describe as “Epic moments of Irish History as told in Ballads,Songs,Poems,and Music. Beginning with the 1798 Rebellion and concluding with the War of Independence 1919-1921 it promises to be a very exciting musical experience illustrating the important part played by our songster, poets and composers during a very traumatic and tumultuous time in our History. A show not to be missed.
