Ant hills are busy places full to the brim with busy ants. Amy the ant works very hard indeed as a leaf collector and last month was awarded Employee of the Month. This month Amy wants to be the best again. But when Amy tries to carry one too many juicy leaves back to the ant hill she finds herself locked out and facing her first night alone in the forest. A simple story of a busy little ant who learns to slow down! Written by and performed by Julie Sharkey, this performance is a work-in-progress commissioned and supported by Roscommon Arts Centre.

FIRST EDITION COMMISSION
As part of the festival, Roscommon Arts Centre commissions a professional practitioner/company to create new work for our Bookworms audience through our ‘First Editions’ commission. This year’s recipient is Julie Sharkey and we’re inviting little audiences to get a first glimpse at this work in rehearsal at this year’s Bookworms!
