This summer, Roscommon Arts Centre are once more rolling out our community initiative “Artist on my Green”, a Summer Residency Programme designed to bring 2 Artists into 2 local neighbourhoods, housing estates or housing developments in Roscommon.
Over a six-week period, one evening a week, a participating artist will set up home in a neighbourhood green space/communcal area and make this their pop-up weekly workspace as they engage with the local community.
This is the third year of Artist on my Green and we are delighted to announce our Artists and the communities they will be working with,
The selected Artists are: Majella Flanagan and Sparkcatchers! (aka Jojo Hynes and Midie Corcoran).
The selected Residents Associations are: Portrun Development Association and Woodview Court.
Majella Flanagan will be working with the residents of Portrun, and Sparkcatchers! will be working with the residents of Woodview Court.
We’re looking forward to seeing how our Artists and Communities work together in the coming weeks!
