After the successful Lunchtime Leaves series, Louise G Cole returns to Roscommon Arts Centre with a special writing workshop series as part of our Bealtaine celebrations.
If you’ve ever fancied yourself as a writer, this course is designed to kick-start the creativity of anyone who may not have written anything more than a shopping list or a greetings card since their schooldays.
Using creative writing prompts, exercises and triggers, there will be discussion and writing time, with participants encouraged to try poetry, memoir, short stories, flash fiction, journal keeping and creative non-fiction.
This interactive course is also suitable for more experienced writers who may be looking for an opportunity for further encouragement and inspiration in their creative practice.
The series will consist of 4 workshops, every Tuesday in May from 10.30am to 12.30pm.
Participants should bring a pen and notebook, and will receive suggestions for further reading, plus information about publication opportunities and literary competition submissions.
