In an Open Call, artists living in Roscommon and its bordering counties – Galway, Leitrim, Longford,
Mayo, Offaly, Sligo and Westmeath – were invited to respond to the theme of the changing seasons –
in particular the transition from Autumn (Lúnasa) into Winter (Samhain), the celebration of Halloween
and the fading light at this time of year.

Eamonn Maxwell is a curator and has curated significant exhibitions by leading international
and Irish artists including the Irish Pavilion at the Venice Biennale. Previous roles have included
Collection Advisor for The Arts Council, Director of Lismore Castle Arts and Inaugural University
Curator at University of the Arts London.
